Aguilera Christina Hurt

The phenomenal Christina Aguilera.

Christina Aguilera is born in the southern part of New York at the Staten Island. Her father was an US Army Sergeant, born in Ecuador, and her mother was a Spanish Teacher, living in Newfoundland. She had ancestry in German, Dutch, English and Irish, and Christina therefore has a very special date back to many cultures.

Her parents met, when her father, Fausto Wagner Xavier Aguilera was serving at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base in Newfoundland in Canada. They got married, went to New York and got a child who was named Christina.

When she was about seven years old, her parents divorced, and Christina, her younger sister Rachel and their mother, who’s name by the way is Shirley Loraine Fidler, went to Pennsylvania, to live in her grandmothers home.

Her father, when they lived together, was strict with the family. He was controlling emotionally and physically, and I think, that’s why her parents were divorced. This behaviour of her father is reflected in several of Christina’s songs. (Ex. In: “Oh Mother” from Back to Basics).

As a child Christina loved singing, and very early she dreamt of being a singer. She performed in talent competitions and loved to act and perform by each and every occasion. Her grandmother could se her vocal skills, and was part in her early performance. Already as a child, Christina was known as: The little girl with the big voice.

When she was fourteen years old, she recorded her first song. It was a duet with a Japanese singer by name Keizo Nakaniski. People still know the song: All I wanna Do. She wanted a contract with a record company, and most of her early teenage years most of her concerns was about becoming a real big and well known singer. Her classmates and many people around her found, that she was self-centred and arrogant. They did not understand her, and she had some hard years. Some of her friends were jealous, and they tried to “beat her” by evil talking and even by acts of vandalism against her house and the family car

But she kept her head high, and in 1993 she joined the Disneyland Channels Variety Show, The New Mickey Mouse Club. Here she got in company with many “big names” as Britney Spears, Justine Timberlake, Rhonda Bennet and many more. When this show ended in 1994, she began to record demos, hoping for a sign up to a record label. In this way it all went on almost as usual, but in 1998 it finally succeeded. She made a single: “Reflection” and this led to a contract with RCA Records. She worked for some months with her first album, which she named Christina Aguilera.
It was released in 1999.

From there the hard fight was over. The barriers were broken down, and now she is known and her songs are loved all around the world. I think, she is getting better and better. At least I find that her latest album Back to Basics is very great. Especially Hurt..
